# **Department Management**

**A department** is the structure used to define the teams or units in your organization. **Department**screen lets you create, view, edit, delete and export the departments that belong to your organization.

- To open the Department Management screen, follow **Organization Structure > Departments** in the left menu.
- All departments defined in the system are listed on this screen. The department list shows basic information for each department, such as **Department Name, Description**.
- You can customize the columns shown in the department list to suit your needs. To do so, click **Column Manager** and enable or disable the columns you want to display.

## **Adding a Department**

**Adding a Department** is the screen where you define the teams or units in your company. On this screen you can create departments that match your organizational structure and manage your user and authorization processes in a more organized way.

- To create a new department, follow **Organization Structure > Departments** in the left menu.
- On the Departments screen, click the **Add** button to open the new department page.

On the screen that opens, enter the basic information for the department. You can define the following:

- **Department Name:** Enter the name of the department you want to create.
- **Description:** Add explanatory information about the department.

After filling in the required information, click **Save** to create the department. Once saved, the department appears in the **Departments** list and is ready to be used in your organizational structure.

## **Editing a Department**

**Editing a Department** is the screen where you update the information of departments you created earlier. On this screen you can edit basic information such as the department name and description, and delete departments you no longer need.

- To edit an existing department, follow **Organization Structure > Departments** in the left menu.
- Find the department you want to edit in the Departments list. Click the **three-dot** icon at the far right of the row and select **Edit** from the menu.

On the screen that opens, you can update the basic information of the department.

- Department Name
- Description

After making the necessary changes, click **Save** to save your updates.

## **Deleting a Department**

To remove a department that is no longer used, find it in the **Departments** list. Click the **three-dot** icon at the far right of the row and select **Delete** from the menu. Once you confirm the deletion, the department is removed from the system.

## **Exporting the Department List**

You can export your department list by clicking the **Download** icon at the top of the screen in **Excel, CSV, PDF, XML** or **JSON** format.
