Telephone Line Management
SIP Trunk Management is the area where you define and manage the trunk connections of your operator or your preferred VoIP provider. Trunks act as the external line gateways through which calls entering and leaving your system pass. On this page you can create a new SIP trunk, edit your existing connections, remove trunks you no longer use and export your list in different formats.
- To open the SIP Trunk Management page, follow PBX Settings > Advanced Setup > Telephone Lines.
- All defined SIP trunk connections are listed on this screen. The list shows basic information such as Trunk Number, SIP Server Address, Port, Type, Connection Type.
- You can adjust the columns shown in the Telephone Lines list to suit your needs. To do so, click Column Manager and enable or disable the columns you want to display.
Adding a Telephone Line
The Add SIP Trunk screen is the page that lets you define a new SIP trunk connection through your operator or VoIP service provider. On this screen you can add your Netgsm trunk information or manually configure the trunk information of a different provider.
- To add a SIP trunk, follow PBX Settings > Advanced Setup > Telephone Lines. Then click the Add button at the top of the screen.
There are two different ways to add a trunk.
Adding a Netgsm Trunk
To quickly define the SIP trunk information of your Netgsm subscription, use the Add Netgsm Trunk option. With this method you need to enter the username and password of your Netgsm account.
Add Manual Trunk
To define a trunk that belongs to a different operator or VoIP provider, use the Add Manual Trunk option. This section offers three different trunk types: Outbound, Inbound - By called number and Inbound - By caller number.
Outbound
With the Outbound trunk option you can create the trunk connection used for incoming and outgoing calls by entering the SIP trunk number, SIP server address, IP address, codec settings and the other basic and advanced SIP configurations.
Inbound - By called number
This option makes incoming calls that start with the defined prefix and match the configured number of digits be answered over the relevant trunk. In this section you can define the trunk number, prefix, SIP server address, IP address and the required connection settings.
Inbound - By caller number
This option matches incoming calls by caller number and routes them over the relevant trunk. In this section you can define the expected caller number, SIP server address, IP address and the other connection settings to build a trunk configuration that works by caller number.
- After filling in all the required information for the trunk type you selected, click Save to create the SIP trunk connection.
Editing a Telephone Line
The Edit SIP Trunk screen lets you update the settings of SIP trunk connections you created earlier or remove trunk connections that are no longer used.
- To edit an existing SIP trunk, follow PBX Settings > Advanced Setup > Telephone Lines.
- Find the trunk connection you want to edit in the Telephone Lines list. Click the three-dot icon at the far right of the row and select Edit from the menu.
- On the screen that opens, you can view the current settings of the SIP trunk and update them as needed. After completing the necessary changes, click Save to apply your edits.
Deleting a SIP Trunk
To remove a SIP trunk connection that is no longer used, go to the Telephone Lines list and click the three-dot icon at the far right of the row containing the relevant trunk. From the menu that opens, select Delete to remove the trunk connection from the system.
Note: Before deleting a SIP trunk that is actively used for incoming or outgoing calls, we recommend checking the call rules and routings bound to that trunk. This prevents interruptions in your call flows.
Exporting the Telephone Line List
You can export your Telephone Lines list by using the Download icon at the top of the screen in Excel, CSV, PDF, XML or JSON formats.
